𝗗𝗚 𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗧 Receives 𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗦’ Award of Excellence.

While welcoming the Association to NICRAT, Dr Aliyu lamented the many functions of the Institution to includes, providing national leadership in cancer research, treatment and control as well as making recommendations to government on cancer policies and priorities among others.

The DG also told his visitors about NICRAT’s action plan and strategy of implementation especially as it relates to stakeholder relations. He therefore urged the Association to key into the fight against cancer disease through education and sensitization drive across campuses.

The DG then thanked the Association for the Award given to him. His words” This Award is dedicated to the entire staff of NICRAT”

Earlier, the leader of the Association, congratulated the DG on his recent appointment which many described as well deserved. He expressed NANS’ satisfaction on the DG’s plan of action and strategy drawn for the development of NICRAT and expressed optimism on positive outcome in the shortest possible time.

The Association leader also reiterated NANS readiness to collaborate with NICRAT in promoting cancer education and awareness campaign across campuses to reduce the burden of the disease in the country.

Highlight of the visit was presentation of NANS Award of excellence to the DG for his excellent performance at NICRAT within a short time.
