NICRAT organize 3 days workshop on validation of strategic cancer control plan 2023 – 2027

Declaring the #workshop open Wednesday August 9, the Director General of the institute, Prof Usman Malami Aliyu, Professor and consultant clinical and radiation oncologist lamented the aim of the workshop which includes among others validating a workable plan of action that if successfully implemented could control #Cancer and reduce its burden in the country. Prof Malami emphasised active stakeholder engagement, continuous sensitization and collaboration with relevant #agencies as key to achieving the institute’s mandate.

He therefore called on all #stakeholderss especially in #Cancer space to remain committed in this drive.

Discussion on other areas of jurisdiction of the workshop continues in day 2 as participants, other stakeholders and indeed all Nigerians show interest and hope the workshop will produce a workable framework towards reducing #Cancer burden in the country. The #workshop will close Friday August 11.
